Shelly Massey is a doodler and designer who has been teaching in one way or another for most of her life. She loves all things clever, colorful and amusing. Shelly attended the University of Kansas School of Design, earned a BFA in Design, and has spent the last 15 years unlearning most of those design principles and relearning how to make art just for fun. Shelly currently resides in Middletown, Ohio. Time not spent doodling is filled up with loving life along with her handy, hard-working husband and super-sweet, smarty-pants daughter.

Shelly will be teaching next at her newly created art retreat location… The Art Barn! Located at 500 East Street in the historic downtown of Springboro, Ohio, The Art Barn is the realization of Shelly’s long time dream to create a weekend arts and crafts retreat in Ohio. The Art Barn sleeps nine and will be home to many happy future art events.
